Itinerary of 4 DAY SHARED MOROCCO DESERT TOUR

4 day desert tour from marrakech

On the first day, we start a tour from Marrakech across the High Atlas Mountains, taking the winding road over the Tizi n’Tichka pass at 2260 meters above sea level. This mountain pass provides breathtaking views.

After crossing the mountains, we arrive at the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This ancient, fortified village has served as a filming location for many famous movies. The journey continues through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, and we spend the night in a hotel in the Dades Valley.

We start the second day with breakfast before setting off on a four hour drive to Merzouga. Along the way, we’ll stop at the town of Tinghir, stroll through the Todra oasis, and explore the Todra Gorge. We’ll also pass through Erfoud and Rissani before reaching Merzouga. There, a camel caravan awaits us for a sunset trek through the Erg Chebbi dunes, ending with an overnight stay at a Bedouin desert camp.

Day three is dedicated to enjoying Merzouga. After breakfast, we have time to relax, swim at the hotel, or explore activities like quad biking and dune buggy rides (available at an additional cost). We’ll spend another night at the hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner to end the day.

 

On the final day, we embark on a 9-hour drive back to Marrakech. We begin with breakfast, stop for lunch in Ouarzazate, and aim to arrive back in Marrakech around 7:00 PM.
